The Tooth of the Dragon

You've already heard much about the atrocities of the tyrannical colonel... and now you're sitting in his dungeon yourself, waiting for your final hour. Your last act has angered him so much that he deigned to personally describe to you the expected suffering in the smallest detail. But if you were to survive, you will become part of something great and finally help him achieve the extraordinary power he has long sought. "This cannot happen," it shoots through your head. "I will never be an accomplice of this monster. I have to thwart his plan." It has become quiet in the dungeon, there is no longer any sound behind the wall. The two black sheep of the guards, Heribert and Bertram, have chosen to be on duty at the same time and decided to disappear for two hours to go drinking together. After that, they will accompany you to your certain and gruesome death, they taunted before they set off. You consult with each other and decide: This time, not only escape counts, but the colonel's mad scheming must be thwarted by all means. His hope seems to lie in the room next to yours. You haven't heard anything from it for a long time: yesterday a scraping and rattling - apparently in the wall -, then a gurgling...... and shortly afterward the guards carried a corpse out of the adjoining room and carefully locked everything again... and then only icy silence. Now the guards are gone and you have not only just about two hours left to escape; time is running mercilessly to thwart the Colonel's plan and save the world from something horrifying. You bravely inspect the doors and walls for something useful - time is pressing.
