Willkommen im legendären Dolphin Hotel in New York. Ihr seid eine Gruppe von Skeptikern, die Geschichten über paranormale Phänomene widerlegt und ihr habt von den Vorfällen im Zimmer 1408 gehört aber ihr glaubt nicht an solche Mythen von Geister oder Dämonen. Bisher hat es ja für alles immer noch eine logische Erklärung gegeben, denn ihr habt schon viele Geistergeschichten aufgeklärt und seid Profis auf diesem Gebiet. Das angebliche Phänomen, dass alle 56 Gäste, die in dieses Zimmer seit 1910 eingecheckt haben, nach spätestens 60 Minuten zu Tode kamen, hat euer Interesse geweckt. Das ist der perfekter Fall für euch! Ihr wollt auch dieses Gerücht vernichten. Auch die Versuche des Hoteldirektors, euch am Betreten des Zimmers zu hindern, schmettert ihr einfach ab. Doch dieses Mal ist es anders … nicht nur eine Gruselgeschichte… Ihr checkt ein, die Tür wird hinter euch verschlossen und ihr spürt, dass außer euch noch etwas Unerklärliches in diesem Raum ist… Ihr habt eine Stunde Zeit um letztlich eure eigene Haut zu retten und den Weg raus zu finden, ansonsten erweitern eure Namen die Liste der Opfer des Zimmers 1408 …

Room 1408 totally blew us away: strong effects, excellently designed rooms, and some genuinely tricky brainteasers. Whenever we got stuck, there were spot-on tips without spoiling anything. Three rooms, tons of atmosphere — so far the best room for us, and yes, we made it out in time.
